How to write an EAA accessibility statement (with template)
Under Article 13 and Annex V of Directive (EU) 2019/882, service providers must prepare information explaining how their service meets the accessibility requirements. It is usually published in the general terms and conditions or as a separate page linked from the footer, and kept available for as long as the service runs. Some countries add their own detailed requirements, so check the rules in the countries you sell to.
What to include
- A general description of the service, in an accessible format
- How the service meets the applicable accessibility requirements, and which standard you follow
- Any known limitations and your plan to fix them
- How customers can report a problem or ask for information in another format
- Where customers can complain if they are not satisfied
- The date the statement was last reviewed
